Service Description
This role will support the Product team in designing, building, launching and supporting digital experiences for the Olympics.com platform.
This Project Manager will help the team drive enhancements and new product experiences, ensuring the quality and schedule of the tasks needed to accomplish the project. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and finalising projects within strict deadlines and budget.
We require a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to take full responsibility of planning, aligning, and delivering design work across our product streams. This role will act as the main coordination point for the Product Design team, ensuring effective planning, communication, and alignment of design tasks across multiple projects and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the design process in digital product development and is passionate about improving team workflows and cross-functional collaboration in web and app platform projects.
This role will be remote based with the opportunity to travel to our Headquarters in Madrid.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Liaise with OCS Manager to coordinate and manage the design planning process, ensuring all design deliverables are aligned with the global product roadmap and timelines.
- Serve as the main coordination hub between UX/UI Managers, Product Managers, Developers, Stakeholders and Project Managers within our design vendors.
- Maintain and continuously update a centralised design delivery plan across all projects, identifying priorities, and deadlines.
- Track progress of design tasks, organise actions and next steps, surface blockers, and drive timely resolution.
- Ensure clear documentation of requirements and status updates in collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Figma, Confluence).
- Follow up on cross functional impact with Product Managers.
- Support the handover of finalised designs to development teams and oversee QA handoff readiness.
- Monitor overall design team velocity, proactively identify delivery risks, and escalate when needed.
- Foster a culture of visibility, ownership, and accountability within the design process.
Skills & Requirements
- Related tertiary qualifications.
- 4+ years of experience in Project Management, preferably in digital product environments, including all aspects of process definition, development, execution and delivery.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI workflows, design tools (Figma), and agile methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar tools.
- Proven experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams with an emphasis on design.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, aligning resources and shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in digital products or creative studio environments. (4+ years of experience).
- Relevant/Suitable qualifications in Project management preferred.
- Familiarity with operations or large-scale event delivery is a plus.
- Experience working in hybrid or remote environments with distributed teams.

- This is a freelance contract opportunity with a duration of a minimum of 1 year.
- Available to travel occasionally (10%) if required by immediate Supervisor.
